Speech-to-Speech and
Speech Communications Assistance by Telephone

Oversight Committee:

 Keith Underwood reported on the recommendations for actions that have come out of Bob Segalman's clearness committee. They have worked with Bob over the past three months, and have been enriched by a clear sense that his calling is guided by the Light. Written materials have been drawn up summarizing his calling to provide telephone access service (Speech-To-Speech or STS) for people with speech disabilities, and to invite Friends to support STS. There is additional information at the web site. Documents from the clearness committee and Bob which explain his calling in both a deeper form, and one more suited for publication in a journal, are available. Oversight Committee recommends that Sacramento Meeting adopt a travel minute to introduce Bob Segalman and his work to other Friends meetings.

Dear Friends,

Our member Bob Segalman is traveling under a long-standing concern for persons with speech disabilities and their communication capabilities. Our meeting has worshipped with him and followed the development of this work over the years. We have seasoned Bob’s leading to share this concern with Friends, and we affirm his leading. We entrust Bob to your care, and pray that in your meetings and communication, you and he will enjoy the presence of the Divine.
